William BALFOUR married Helen MITCHELL (b 1826) in Fife, Scotland approximately 1850. Their children were Helen (b 1849); William (b 1852); Julie (b 1854); Ann Mitchell
(b 1856); David (b 1858: Alexander (b 1860); James Christie (b 1863); Archibald Watt
(b 1866); and Betsy (b 1868). William died in 1912 and Helen died in 1913. The family lived in the St Andrews district of Fife, Scotland.
