Hi Francis
This is a definite "long Shot" ! I've just posted an enquiry on the BALFE forum but thought I'd also contact you !
I'm looking for Andrew BALF (E) born in Ireland about 1810
He came to England (not sure when) and married Margaret SHOTTIN on 30th October 1831 at Wilmslow CHS. He died on 22nd May 1843 at Cheadle.
They had 5 children Ann George Bridget Andrew and John.
We have no info prior to his marriage and are trying to think 'laterally'
