Lorraine,
In your research of Baldwin family of Cork Ireland, have you ran acrossed a James Baldwin b. 1750-1752 in Killarny, Ireland. He is my 5th gr grangfather.
James came to America with the King's amry, served his time and was discharged. He met and married Elizabeth Ferrell in America. She was from Dublin, Ireland. Their 1st child was born in 1772.
It is said that either James and Elizabeth received letters from a Mary Gore. I think Mary was either a sister of James or Elizabeth. Some say she was James's mother, but I don't think so myself.
James died in 1800-1801 in Va. I believe in Wythe Co. Elizabeth died in 1835 Sneedville, Tn.
My line is from their 1st child, John D. Baldwin and his wife- Elizabeth Newberry.
Any info you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Judith (Baldwin) Campbell
