I have extract information from my database on the children of William/Sarah nee POPE all baptised in Burwash as follows:-
Benjamin 31 Aug 1788
Thomas 30 Sep 1792
James 8 Aug 1795
no mention of Frances
George 1 May 1798
John 28 Oct 1800
Hannah 3 Jan 1803 (not 1808)
Henry 27 Oct 1805

William, the father, shows his parish at the time of his marriage as Ticehurst, and does not necessarily indicate the parish of birth. I do have reference to a William baptised on 7 Apt 1765 in Mayfield son of Elias and Mary (marriage not known as yet).

Mayfield is approx 10 miles from Ticehurst and both equal distant from Burwash, so this is a distinct possibility.

I would be interested to hear from you on subsequent marriages details of the children and their families to ensure my data is complete.
