Thanks for your response. I actually got the name wrong first. It is Reubin, not Reuben. Ruebin Baldock appears in the Virginia Census Index (1860) in Amherst Co. My great-great-grandfather, John Hensley Baldock, also appears in this census in Amherst Co. Reuben Baldock is in the 1830 Census and Reuben P. Baldock appears in the Census date in 1870. Catherine Baldock also appears and I wonder if she is related to Reuben P?. I can account for the rest of the Baldock's except Gustavus and Susan of Appomattox Co. My father remembers my grandfather, James Joseph speaking of Gus Baldock, but he is not sure of the connection.
Any info. you have is appreciated. If I can help you in anyway, please just let me know.
