James: boy: fa - James Baldock; Mo - Sarah Baldock formerly Hopkins: occ: labourer; Registered by James Baldock, father, Preston, on 27th February 1843. Will send details of his marriage when received. Census info just obtained if of any use: 1841 - Preston next Faversham:- At Mall - James Baldock, 30, Ag.Lab., & Mary Baldock, 20 - both born in the county. Ditto: (north of Faversham):- At Ham: William Baldock, 69, Farmer; Jane Baldock, 65 and Thomas Baldock 43, Ag. Lab; - all born in the county. Ditto: At Ham Arm:- William Baldock, 15 Ag.Lab, all born in the county. Ditto: At Little Ham Farm: James Baldock, 25, Ag.Lab.; Sarah Baldock, 20; Jane Baldock 3; Sarah Baldock, 2; George Baldock, 2 months; all born in the county. Have some of the Hopkins as well. 1851 - Preston next Faversham At the Mall: (south of Faversham); James Baldock, 42, labourer in cement factory, bn Kent, Eastling; Mary Baldock, wife, 35, bn, Kent, Selling; Richard Baldock, son, 7, scholar, and Emma Baldock dau, 1, both bn Kent, Preston. 1851 north of Faversham At Ham: Jane Baldock, head, widow, 77, Farmer 40 acres, bn Kent, Boughton; Thomas Baldock, son, 37, unmarr, Manager of above farm, bn Kent Oare; - to house 5 servants and 4 labourers.
