I have a puzzle on my hands and I need help in sorting it out.
James Harrison Baldock was born 28 Oct 1842 KY and died 20 Aug 1914 in Illinois. He is said to have married Mary Frances Hancock 5 Jan 1866 in KY. Mary Frances Hancock was born 4 Oct 1845 KY and died 29 April 1920 in Illinois. James and Mary Frances had 3 children, James Jr. and twins that died at birth in 1867.
Information says James Harrison Baldock married first to Elizabeth Elen Hancock in 1871- sister of Mary Frances Hancock. Dates do not add up if he married Mary Frances in 1866. Elizabeth Elen was born 1856 so do not think she would have married before 1871.
Information also says Elizabeth Elen and James Baldock had a son Guy Harrison Baldock, (no birth date) that was raised by Mary Frances and James after the death of Elizabeth Elen in 1878, twelve years AFTER James was said to have married Mary Frances.
More mysteries: Elizabeth Elen was said to have married Addison Bumgardner in 1875 and had a baby girl (no name) that died about 1876. Two years later Elizabeth Elen died.
