The town of BALDOCK was formed in the year 1492 by the Knight's Templars during the Crusades. It is still standing and still has many original buildings being used. The people of the times would take their last names from the town they lived in....Richard de Baldock.....eventually it would become Richard Baldock.

The immigrant Richard was described as being fair with red hair.......and still today, many of the descendents have red hair.
