My name is James Baldwin the spelling was changed by my grand father. His father was James Lyda Balding of Spring Creek in Madison County NC. James Balding had (20) children by (2) wives, my gran-dad Lyda was (#19) I have one picture of the family with the 2nd wife and (9) of the kids. If anyone has any other information I would like to know more about him and why the name got changed, have considered changing it back. The family is also tied by marriage to the Duckett's of that region.
