I've just discovered a George Balding of Hempstead, Long Island, New York. "Codicil to will of George Balding of Hempstead giving to son in law Samuel Embree of Hempstead 1/2 of my commonage dated Jan 15 1680/81." His daughter, Sarah, married Samuel I. Embree-their daughter, Sarah Embree married William Nichols, April 1, 1728, Hempstead, Nassau, New York.
I'm doing "Nichols'" genealogy. If I find out any more about this guy, I'll let you know!
