Does anyone know anything about a James A. Balkum from either Dale or Coffee County, Alabama who served in the Confederate Army?
I understand that he is buried in a small Methodist Church cemetery (I think, it's called Pleasant Grove) somewhere between Graceville, Florida and Fadette, Alabama, just inside the Alabama line (in present-day Geneva County). I am trying to locate his military service record, or find him on a muster roll. Many thanks.
