I am looking for information about Charles William Balch in the Rutland,VT area. Died as a result of a lightning strike possibly in the late 1800's. This lightning strike also killed several horses at the same time. His daughter was my Grandmother. Her name was Vera Balch and was married to Claude Walter Pitts. She died between 1964 and 1966. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
