Hi Sue Ann!
I thought I would catch you up on our large and growing Balch family. I can't remember how much I've told you before, so please forgive me if I repeat myself.
Your dad's DNA has matched four other Balch/Bolch/Baulch men to date. (The spelling of their names has changed over the years).
Below are all the most distant ancestors of the five men whose DNA match. The countries in parentheses are where the DNA donors all currently live.
- John Balch d. 1826 Giles Co., TN (USA)
- John R. Balch b. 1810 TN or KY (USA)
- John Balch b. abt. 1677 London, England (England)
- William Balch b. abt 1775 London, England (Canada)
- William Balch b. circa 1747 Devon England (Canada)
As you can see, our Balch line has spread far and wide! We have no idea how any of these men connect right now, but DNA says they do and we're working to learn more.
