Balch DNA Match

We have a tentative DNA match between the following two Balch Most Distant Ancstors. We're still waiting for the full results, but I expect the match to continue.

This match means that these two Balch men are related through the Balch line, but how we can't say. Interestingly, they DO NOT match the single participant with a paper trail to the Maryland Balch line. What we have to be careful of, though, is hat a single participant of a line can never conclusively represent a line. You never know when an adoption, illegitimacy or infidelity may have changed the DNA in the line. We really need at least one more Maryland Balch descendant to be tested to confirm the baseline for that line.

I'll be updating the Balch DNA website shortly to explain more.
