I did a search to see what I could find out about Hezekiah Benjamin Balch and his children. The links I have listed below show some of the things I came across. The first link is to Galusha Balch's book "Genealogy of the Balch Families in America" and it seems to indicate that Dorcas was, in fact, the daughter of Hezekiah. Further links, listed below, show a will, among other things, of Hezekiah and mention a Dorcas as an indentured servant(this might be a different Dorcas) while most seem to suggest she was a daughter. I don't know if any of this helps but I gave it a try.
Please check out my new Balch family history web site. I call it "Balchipedia" because it operates very much like the "Wikipedia" web site. I'm looking to get more people to sign up and contribute to the information that is contained there. I would appreciate any help you might give me.
