Hi Carolyn,
This is not the first time I have seen reference to this marriage between Hezekiah Balch and a Betsy (or Elizabeth) West. Can you advise where the marriage took place.
I have a marriage between Hezekiah Benjamin Balch and Ann Christian (Slaughter) West in Warren Co, Vicksburg Mississippi in 1845. This Hezekiah was one of the brothers who went down to Texas and fought with Houston at San Jacinto. His name is on the San Jacinto monument, along with his brother John's name.

Surely would like to know more about your Hezekiah and Betsy.
