Looking for any living descendants of Joanna O'Brien and Benjamin Balch who were married on or about March 12, 1765, perhaps in Machias, Maine. Joanna was born in Scarborough, ME and died in Barrington, NH. Sorry - have no dates. She was the daughter of Morris and Mary O'Brien and sister of the famous O'Brien brothers who captured the first British battleship in the Am. Rev. War in Machias Bay in June 1775. Hope to hear from someone. RoseD.
