I had a hard time figuring out the line because some records use a middle name and some a first name.I do know that my great grandfather was named Francis Forrest Balch(b. 1885 in Almont d.1962 in Lapeer) and called Frank. He married Eathel Burton(b. 1890 d. 1977).
His father was Francis Aaron Balch(b. 1854 in MI d. ? in Dryden MI?)who married Sarah Abigail Church (b. 1864 in NY d. ?)He was called both Aaron and Francis when he was young and Frank when he was grown.
His father was Aaron Balch (b. 1803 in VT d. 1879 in Almont, MI) who married Sally(Sarah)A Burton (b. 1804 NY d. 1872.
So the simple answer is that he was a senior.I hope that this isn't confusing too much.
