I am just calling this BALCH confusion.

Hello Geneva

I was under the impression Hezekiah Balch (born ca 1686) married (1) Martha Bloomer and (2) Sarah ----. His sons were James Balch, John Balch and maybe Thomas Balch. I believe Hezekiah and Martha were married 30 July 1707 Anne Arundell County, Maryland. The John Balch I was asking about was the son of Hezekiah and Martha. He was born 23 Jan 1715 St. George Parish, Maryland and moved to North Carolina around 1763 where he died 1790 Mecklenburg Co. NC. DAR records apparently give the name of his wife as Sarah, however the register of St. George Parish, Maryland also has John Balch married Mary Cannon 24 Mar 1735.

I am unaware that Hezekiah and Martha (Bloomer) Balch had a son named Hezekiah. Perhaps there is a generation missing.
Can you provide additional information on your Hezekiah. It seems this one has caused a lot of confusion.
