I am searching for information pertaining to an adoption that took place by the Balch family in 1896. The story is that the Balch family adopted a baby boy for which they named William "Evans" Balch b. August 2, 1896 d.November 23, 1965. It is said that the family came from Painsville, Ohio. The Balch's adopted the boy and gave him the middle name of Evans to link him back to his biological family. Any information on the Balch family that adopted this boy would be greatly appreciated.
