I have seen many references to the BALCH Family History in America by Galusha Balch. I understand it can be purchased through the NEHGS.

I am interested in HANNAH BALCH who was born 1670's in Beverly, Mass and her descendants. I have conflicting information on Hannah's mothers maiden name(Denning vs Varen).

My main question is whether it would be worthwhile to purchase the book written by Galusha Balch. I have been able to get some information on the Internet tracing the Balch's back to George Balch,Sr. who
was born 1524 in Somerset, England.

Please advise. Thanks!
