I am searching for the parents of Sarah Balch who was born about 1816 in Vermont. She married Thomas Gilson around 1832 I assume, since their first child was born in May 1833 in Vermont. They migrated from VT to NY, to PA and then were in Wisconsin from at least 1844 to 1857. Thomas Gilson died and Sarah was in KS for the 1860 census, then married George Johnson around 1860-61. She died in IA in 1883. She and Thomas Gilson had 13 children, in order of birth, James M., Marshal H., Thomas J., Mary J., Ovando L., George, Ellen Jane, John H., Emily M., Nathan B. or D., William Mandy, Mary E., and Jerome E. Gilson.
