I have taken a quick look at some of the posts re John Balch and his daughter (?) Elizabeth who married Knowlton - and see there are others who have questioned this. I saw one posting that agrees with something I found years ago - John had only sons. There was a Balch/Knowlton marriage but much later than the one always given to William Knowlton born abt 1615 in England. I am wondering if anyone has yet found a will for John Balch - does he mention a daughter Elizabeth at all?
