In Genealogy of the Balch Families in America 1897, I find this.
p. 418
Charles H., son of Andrew J. and Caroline (Reymore) Balch, was born Frankfort, New York July 22, 1858, and owns a foundry at Anamoosa, Iowa. He was married February 6, 1884, to Lillie Chisman of Anamoosa. They have three children
Myrtle, b. 1884
Grace b. 1886
Harry b. 1890

I have much more history on the family if you think this is the right one.
