Dear Donna, Thanks for your information. If you see Julie Cargo's posting, it may mean that my gg grandfather's wife was not Barbara Bakewell but rather Barbara Kerr. However, that doesn't fit with my family's records. My gg grandfather was Robert M. Cargo who came from Ireland and settled in Johnstown, PA. We don't know when he married but it looks from census records in Cambria County, PA, (Johnstown), that Barbara had three boys, Benjamin, William, and I don't have the third name at hand. A researcher I recently employed found a Benjamin Bakewell, esq., (a lawyer?)in Pittsburgh who had a daughter, Barbara, who would have been the correct age. I think that info came from the 1870 census. My g grandfather, the son of Robert and Barbara Cargo, was named Benjamin Bakewell Cargo which fits the pattern of naming the first son after the maternal grandfather. If you think this may help you, I do have more specific information I'd be happy to share. I just wanted to reply to your message promptly and didn't take the time to dig everything out first. I appreciate your help. Russ Cargo
