Solomon BAKER, born 1785-1790, did own land in White Co. He purchased 100 acres in 1824 when he returned from Illinois. I don't recall a John BAKER in White Co., TN in the time frame of 1800-1816. I have also sought a John or Jonathan BAKER as the father of the above Solomon because Solomon named his firstborn son, Jonathan. Jim.
