Have much info on Col. Stephen Baker of
Brewster NY. Looking for info about his 1st
wife Martha Johnson b.1842 d. abt 1879 at
Brewster.Her parents were from CT. Ch:
Daniel b. 1867 & Percy b. 1868. Percy became superintendent of Ellis Island. Also loking for info about Stephen's father Daniel
b. 1801 in NO.Salem,Westchester co.NY and m. Eunice Ophilia Knapp Hobby b.1806. Both buried possibly in Somers.
Wstchstr co. Col. Baker had 2 bros. Jonathan b. 1827 who went to Oregan and d. in Portland,OR and Joseph Hobby Baker,b 1833. Nothing further is known about the brothers. Col. Baker m. 2nd
Ameila(Aery) Betts widow of James in Brooklyn,NY where he d. in 1898.
