You didn't provide too much to go on considering John Baker is a rather common name. However... This should be the Howard Baker married to a Callan you are looking for: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:801798&id=I1599 For John go to this link. It looks like it is the same family: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=grannykaty&id=I10053 John can be found in the census living in Clarion and Venango Counties. The 1900 census shows his month of birth as February. The Social Security Death Index shows his birth as 11 Feb 1868 and that he died Feb 1970 and his last residence as Oil City, PA. I suggest contacting the Clarion County Historical Society, Venango County Historical Society, Venango County Genealogical Club at the Oil City Library, and/or Eccles-Lesher Memorial Library in Rimersburg to see if they can get you an obituary and burial place. His obituary would undoubtedly confirm his military service. Notify Administrator about this message?
