I am looking for any information on this marriage and any info on Griffith descendants:
Winifred Baker married John E. Griffith in Montgomery County, Ohio on 23 May 1843. She may have been the 3rd daughter of Caleb C. Baker and Lucinda Cooper who lived in Montgomery County, Ohio during the 1830's and 1840's.
It's possible this is the same John Griffith listed in the 1860 Federal Montgomery Census for Harrison Township in Montgomery County, Ohio. He is 40, so is Winifred (she is born in Va). Their children are Henry F (13) and Lena E. (11)
It's also possible that the Henry Griffith listed in the 1880 Federal Census for Clay, Montgomery, Ohio is the son, who has married Frances M. Their children are Henry E. Griffith, (11) Amanda F (9) Harvey E. Griffith (7) Hattie E. Griffith (5) and Mary E. Griffith (2).
