Ensign 16th Inf. Jan. 8, 1799; 2nd Lieutenant March 3, 1799; honorably discharged June 15, 1800; 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Inf. Feb 16, 1801; transferred to 1st Inf. April 1, 1802; 1st Lieutenant Aug. 11, 1806; Captain March 12, 1812; Major 45th Inf. April 15, 1814; retained May 17, 1815 as Captain 8th Inf. with brevet rank of Major from April 15, 1814; transferred to 3rd Inf. Dec. 2, 1815; Major 7th Inf. June 1, 1821; Lt. Colonel 6th Inf. May 1, 1829; brevet Major Aug. 9, 1812 for distinguished service in the Battle of Brownstown Marguago Michigan; died Oct. 30, 1836.
