Gregory,
Your Wavy Granville Baize, could he have been Granville Champion Baize? I have the latter b. 26 Oct 1859 in Ohio County, Ky. died 1935 in same. married 18 Oct 1884 to Lucinda Jane Allen b. 18 Oct 1861, d.1934,buried Leach Cem. Ohio County, Ky. This Granville C.had children: Arthur M., William O., Thomas E., Ira Wade, Alta Myrtle, and lastly (MAYBE yours) Wady Granvil b.1903, m. Bertha G. Byers 1926 in OC.
These were in the 1910, 1920 OC Censuses.
I live in Ohio County, Ky. near Baizetown and have done an extensive research on Baizes. I have generations before Granville C. as Thomas Baize m. Rosannah Lewis Young, before Thomas was Mathias Baize m. Elizabeth Hall and parents of Mathias were the oldest I know about, John and Nancy (Shultz) Baize.
If this sounds like your family line, maybe I can help more if you will email me at
