With John, it seems that everyone has run into a brick wall. My best information has him being born in or around 1780, Married to Nancy Schultz (parents Matthias Schultz and Didamah Ogden) on Oct. 06 1807 (this information is verified with a copy of the marriage certificate), ... I can't remember the death date, off the top of my head.
With John Baize being born in 1780, it would be rather difficult for the elder John to be his father, as the information I've seen on John Baize and Hanna Taylor is that the elder John was born in 1695. This would put the elder John Baize at 85 years old when our John was born. While not impossible, it is improbable. John and Hanna may be his gr-grandparents (probable).
