Basden/baseden/baisden are all the same family. My immigrant ancestor James c. 1745 Isle of Wight county Va spelled his name Basden. His sons varied the spelling of the name between Bayz(s)den, Baisden, Basden during thier lifetimes. Descendants of his son Hugh spell the name both Basden and Baisden. The families are spread from N.C., FL, GA, TX, IL. etc.
