Have you checked the "Freedman Bureau Records" recently released on CD-Rom by the LDS Family History Department? The records were the first records used to establish a free identity, and frequently included names with dates and places of all family members and often the names or their previous owners. I know that McIntosh County records were burned when the Massachusettes soldiers burned Darien, but many people refiled their earlier deeds. I believe that most deeds after 1873 are extant. I haven't found Baisden slave names listed in the Liberty County records for the family. The other place to check is Chatham county. The family and their related families did a lot of business in Savannah you might look in their deeds and court records. The Thomas K. Gould Plantation Cemetery at Harris Landing became a black Cemetery after the Civil War. TK Gould was a brother in law to Joisah Baisden who moved to Hamilton County FL. Both married daughters of John Dunham and Sarah P. Clancy. Perhaps some of the Black Baisdens may be buried at the Gould place. Solomon Baisden d. circa 1800 is the son of Joseph Baisden of Southampton County VA and second cousin of Josiah Baisden who moved from Onslow County NC to McIntosh County Ga to Hamilton County FL. I believe that James Baisden of Glynn County 1796 is the Uncle of Solomon, son of James Baisden/Basden Jr. and Miriam. I know that some of the Baisden slaves were taken into Florida when my Baisdens moved from McIntosh county to Hamilton County and Hernando county Florida, but I haven't found any names.
