My G-Grandmother is Martha Ann Womack, born sep. 17, 1882 in MS, died Dec. 8, 1937.
She married George Washington West. Her father's name is John M. Womack, born July 5, 1836.
1850 Lafayette Co. MS Census list a George W. Boisden and a Penelope, with children Sarah M (I believe this is my G-Grandmother),
Margaret M.,
Wm. H,
George R.,
Nancy A.,
Penelope,
Martha A.,
and a John Womack age 35, and Sam Smith age 27 living in the house with the Boisdens. I believe this John Womack married the Sarah M. listed in this census.
After the death of John Womack, Sara Basden married again to a Taylor. A marriage record in MS list a Simmon Taylor to Sarah Warmack Jan. 10, 1865. I believe that this is my Sarah.
Family members have told me that Martha had a half brother named Cam Taylor. I also believe that she had a half sister named Penelope. Reason being, I am in possession of a picture that has been identified as being that of Penelope Taylor Hardman. I believe this is my g-grandmother's half sister.
I believe your George V. Baisdon/Baisden and Penelope Taylor is my GGG Grandparents also.
Ironically, your Penelope's maiden name was Taylor, and my G-Grandmother, Sarah Basden Womack married a Taylor.
