BAINBRIDGE FAMILY FROM DURHAM, ENGLAND
I am now working on the Bainbridge family tree but will not have all information together until mid Sept. when I will write more info.
My family of Bainbridges includes George & Sarah (Lowe or Rowe) who were the parents of my great grandmother, Jane. Her siblings were Ralph, Joseph, Sarah, George, Mary, John, Elizabeth, William, Margaret and Frank.
Her parents were natives of Durham, England who moved to New Dugens, Wisconsin and employed as farming and a miner (Jane's dad).
They then moved in 1862 to Shelsburg Iowa for a brief time before moving to the Kingsley, Iowa area in Plymouth County, in Iowa, settling there in 1880.
Jane Bainbridge married my great grandfather James Pratt. My grandfather Walter Pratt was one of their children.
Walter & Julia Margaret Harvey, daughter of David & Florence (Warner) Harvey was my grandparents.
Walter & Julia were married in Plymouth County and moved to Bassett, Nebraska in 1940.They had 6 children: Florence, Ethel and Wallace (yet living)and Juanita, James Harvey, and Joyce (deceased).
When I have more complete notes, I will contact this site again.Hope this helpful.
Sincerely,
Ruth (Spies) Laudon
