I have in my possession a bible that has the inscription on the back inside cover "Andrew Baillies Bible Hamilton 1871". On the fly page there is a childs drawing of the Rev Dr Wallace.There were several newpaper clippings inside, birth ,marriage and death notices but unfortunatley the dates,which paper etc. had been cut off.One clipping refers to the marriage of James Duncan Campbell to Jessie Adam Leitch ,the eldest daughter of
Robert Thomson,Braehead Ferniegair Hamilton and great grand-daughter of the late Andrew Baillie of Hope Street Hamilton My grandmother gave me the bible but I have no idea where it fits in to our family or indeed if it does.Do these names ring bells for anyone!!!
