Sorry for my long delay in responding to your message I have been involved in my Mother's side of the family tree of the McMasters.
My father was Baillie I am at the moment searching for a Alexander Baillie b 1839 in Ireland, his parents were Alexander b.1816 and Helen b 1821 both from Ireland. They moved to Kilmarnock Ayrshire and had Elizabeth b1850,Robert b.1845, Martha b.1853 and Mary b 1857 I have no information of their travels only that Alexander (1839) was a Retired captain from the 79th Highland Regiment it stated he was born in Ireland, I still have to confirm. My direct line is from Robert (1849),Alexander (1875) William(1912). If you have any information in this tree I would be delighted to hear from you.
