I have found a possibility for you. You can only be sure if you check the couple's marriage.
First, about the name Paul. When seen with Napoleon, it is usually just a name variant. In other words, his middle name was probably not Paul. Very often, when the males were christened, the first name was Joseph [Marie for the girls] and then they were known by their second name.
I looked for Baillargeons in Minneapolis at the time. I found
Name: J. Napoleon BAILLARGEON 1
Sex: M
Birth: 6 AUG 1861 in Saint Cuthbert, Berthier, Quebec, Canada 1
Baptism: 6 AUG 1861 Saint Cuthbert, Berthier, Quebec, Canada 1
Event: Godparent 6 AUG 1861 Leon Laferriere 1
Event: Godparent 6 AUG 1861 Olivine Rouleau 1

Father: Norbert BAILLARGEON b: AUG 1826 in Canada
Mother: Genevieve GIGUERE b: 3 MAR 1833 in Saint Cuthbert, Berthier, Quebec, Canada

Very often, birthdates and christening dates get all mixed up.
This Napoleon had many siblings including J. Georges who married
Oct 1883 in Minneapolis.

Email me at nckowal@optonline.net if you want further info.
