Is this Elizabeth that was bn 1749 Ireland and sister of James Bailey that md John P Knox?
Was her name Frances Elizabeth Bailey?
He Names her and dau Eliza in His WILL.This James only had 2 daus and a son.



Will of James Bailey.

In the name of God, amen. I, James Bailey of the district of Pendleton, State of SC, being weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for men to die, do make and ordain this my Last will and testament. That is to say principally I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almightly God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent and Christian burial at the discretion of executors, nothing doubting but at the Ressurection I shall receive it again by the Mighty Power of God, and as touching my worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give and dispose of in the following manner and form.

I leave and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Mary Bailey my house and household furniture and all the stock with the one half of the plantation tools, the use of one half of the cleared land provided Wyatt stays with her. If not, she shall possess the whole of the land in cultivation while she remains my widow and if she should marry, I only give her one third of the household furniture and one third of the stock and Grace and her son Daniel to work for her while she lives. At her decease Elizabeth Knox shall have Grace as her own right and property and her daughter Eliza Knox shall have a bed and furniture. To my son, Wyatt Bailey, I give all my land that I possess of that seventy acre tract adjoining Joseph Kelly on the north and north west and widow Anderson on the south and south east that tract of 70 acres to be possessed by him at my decease. The other at the expiration of his mother's widowhood, together with all the plantation tools and wearing clothes. Also, I give unto Mary Bailey, daughter of Wyatt and Peggy (Margaret) Bailey one bed and furniture at the decease of her grandmother. To my beloved daughters Frances Fleming and Martha Garrison I give and bequeath to my two daughters my negro, Daniel with all the rest of my property of horses and cattle, hogs and sheep, household and kitchen furniture, except one bed and furniture I give to my woman, Grace. And I do hereby ratify and confirm this to be my Last will and testament and do hereby disaprove and renounce all others heretofore written in which I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirty first day of July, 1818, and I appoint my son Wyatt Bailey and my son-in-law John Fleming, sole executors.
