The family roots way back originated in Ireland and England.Captain Sam was the first to reside in Nassau,I beleive my great great grandfather was a judge as his picture was in the legislature building in full robes, also beleive his son was a doctor who trained in England and returened to Nassau to practice, beleive he was the first native born Bahamian doctor. My father was one of 8 or 9 children most of whom imigrated to Canada and the states in the early 1900's. Have visited Nassau many times but not since 1991.
