Hi,

Actually, my grandmother, Ida Emma CURRY CLEARE, started doing genealogy in the late 1960's. she researched both her family and my grandfather's. She made several trips down to the Keys and cooresponded with other researchers in both the Keys and the Bahamas. She passed away last year and during her last few years suffered from Alzheimer's, so my Mom and I have been going through all the genealogy material she left and trying to understand it and get it put into a computer database. (It is amazing what she accomplished using a typewriter and notecards!)

We have also gotten a lot of info on relatives of our direct ancestors from "Kinfolks" by William Curry Harllee. It was published originally in the 1930's, but a recent reprint of just the two sections in volume 3 relevant to Key West families just came out.

Sorry, but we don't have any researcher contacts in the Bahamas.

Stacey
