Albury is a very popular last name in the bahamas. I've found this out when trying to research my ancestors as well. However, Blacks with this last name are kind of rare in the Bahamas, so maybe we share the same ancestory.

My grandfather, George Albury, came to Delaware from Nassau Bahamas almost 50 years ago (1940s). For many years, he worked and sent money back to his relatives in Nassau. As a result of family quarrels, he stopped sending money and everyone later assumed that he was dead. In recent years, he has gone back to find many of his brothers and sisters deceased and one sister, Mary (or Marie), still alive. My grandfather, in naming his children, named a few of them after his sisters and brothers. The names of his offspring were: Una May, Elizabeth, Betty Lou, Joy, Dorothy, Trina, George (Jr.), Dave, James, and Carleton.

Please copy me on any progress made.
