Andrew Deveaux, Sr. & Col Andrew Deveaux, Jr. were Loyalists from the Beaufort, SC area. Bannished to St Augustine, Fl., then instrumental in raid regaining Bahamas from the Spanish in 1873 (See Bahamas History). Granted land on Cat Island and New Providence. Built Mansion and Pineapple Plantation on Cat Island. Descendents include Moses, Sr. & Moses, Jr. (My Great-Great Grand Father). Col Andrew Jr also lived in Red Hook, NY Have further info if interested.
