Rebecca: Thanks so much for your quick reply. I am filing your info as I still haven't made a connection, although the Johnsons and their spouses all seem to have been from Abaco, alhtough many were sailors so "got around". The mother of Menendez Johnson was Charity Pinder whose antecedents are unknown, but possibly could include the Menendez family. Or the Menendez family could have been close friends of Menendez Johnson's father, Thomas Johnson. It is such an unusual first name, however.

Thanks again
David Jewell
