I know this is an old post but I checked your history and see that you are still active - Do you have any further information on MCDONALD? I ask because I have an ISAAC MCDONALD born about 1760 Married to CHARITY KIRK (KIRKWOOD maybe?) and have discovered her real name was CHARLOTTE.
He was a River Pilot in Brunswick, NC. Also in his will dated 01 Dec 1820, he mentions that "AARON TODD" is holding his rifle that he was willing to his son WILLIAM
HENRY MCDONALD. WM. HENRY was also a Pilot as was his son WM.TROUT MCDONALD. You can see why I'm interested since your name OF TODD caught my eye and I see you posting about MCDONALD - I have long suspected ISAAC went to the Bahamas late 1700's but this is my first time visiting this Bahama Forum. You may be able to settle two problems - Have you any information on TODD? I can't seem to find much on AARON and an important item such as a rifle would not be given lightly to anyone other than a close friend! I
was researching KIRKWOOD when I discovered this forum.
