Interested in the Raiford connection to the Howells and from that a possible marriage with a Curry.
Joseph Curry b.c. 1737 m. a Rachel and they had a Howell Curry. Moved to Bahamas.
Joseph's father, Joseph Curry Sr. and wife Jane Walker Curry, lived about five miles below Columbia, SC on the Congaree.
When a Philip Raiford died in 1760, he names a daughter Rachel Raiford.
1756/7:Deed of Gift from RAIFORD, PHILIP TO WILLIAM HOWELL, DEED OF GIFT AND PLAT FOR 50 ACRES OF LAND.
A source states a Thomas Howell married a Grace Raiford, daughter of Philip. She m. 2) Charles Russell.
Does anyone know the connection of these families?
