douglass family, nassau & crooked island

i am looking for information about a douglass family that was in the bahamas in the late 1700s - mid 1800s.

the story i have is of two brothers, william and john douglass. both were in the british army during the american revolution. after the war, john lived in crooked island, bahamas, where 'he owned a salt work and accumulated a fortune'. i don't know what became of him. william was apparently transferred after the war to halifax, nova scotia, and later to nassau, bahamas. he and his wife are both supposed to be buried in nassau (they would've died in the early to mid-1800s).

if you know anything about this family, please contact me. i'd also appreciate any information that might be available regarding how to verify that william and his wife are indeed buried in nassau.

thanks-
sandra
