George Richard Wells (aka Jackson Wells) of Long Is.

I'm in search of any information regarding George Richard (Jackson) Wells. He was possibly a Loyalist from Virginia. He arrived and took up residence in Anderson's (Gray's),Long Island, Bahamas with his wife Flora and 300+ slaves in the late 1700's. He died in a boating accident along with three of his six sons. The three remaining sons were named James Alexander, Louis and Samuel. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Douglas Wells
