Does anyone know how I can find information
about a ca.1630s shipping company called
the "Somers Islands Company"? My ancestor,
Robert Dennis, was a principal, and I have
found a ship, the "True Love" that left England in June 1635 with a destination of "Somer Island" (Barbados). I find later evidence of him(?) in Massachusetts, and/or
Rhode Island, and later New Jersey.
Anyone with information, I would greatly appreciate the help!
